Job Description:This position is responsible for soliciting Eagle Rock’s wine portfolio within a defined territory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Solicit products in a defined route area
- Rotate products according to policy to eliminate out of date situations
- Call on existing Eagle Rock accounts as well as cold calling and prospecting new accounts
- Responsible for keeping account profile up to date
2. Solicit placement of point of sale (wine racks, menu inserts, shelf tags)
- Secure the best possible position of products
- Insure shelf space equal to or greater that market share
- Distribute new orders to employees as needed.
3. Achieve all sales and distribution goals
- Communicate with Beer Account Managers for placing orders in system to ensure proper delivery
- Notify drivers of any signage request or customer issues
4. Demonstrates effective communication methods.
5. Demonstrates effective customer service skills.
- Fosters positive morale among staff, by promotion of open communication with all departments, to help create and maintain an innovative and cooperative staff relationship and environment.
- Interacts with external and internal customers in a manner conducive to continued positive relationships. Displays patience, courtesy and tact.
- Demonstrates flexibility, enthusiasm and willingness to cooperate while working with others or in place of others as necessary.
6. Minimum of 3 hand sells and 3 consumer samplings a month.
7. Able to work Monday – Friday until the job is complete, some weekend work is required
8. Accurately performs any other duties as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow.
9. Actively supports the Company’s mission and vision philosophy.

Qualifications:
- Education/Experience
- College Degree preferred
- Subject to all Company policies regarding all employment testing, including drug screen.
- Two years beverage sales experience.
- Must have a clean driving record
- Skills
- General working knowledge of PCs and windows.
- Strong customer service and relationship building skills.
- Ability to speak clearly, read, write, and understand the English language.
- Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Requires the ability to work independently, exercising sound judgement and initiative.
- Ability to deal with problems involving multiple solutions in standardized situations.
Physical Demands and Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk with occasional sitting.
- Must be able to talk and hear to communicate with both internal and external customers.
- Must have the ability to operate company vehicles as needed.
